Ingredients

  • 2 eggs
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric
  • 1 cup almond flour
  • 0.5 cup coconut sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 0.25 cup melted coconut oil
  • 0.5 teaspoon baking powder
  • 0.25 cup dark chocolate chips
  • 0.25 cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 0.5 cup chocolate protein powder
  • 0.5 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

Instructions

  • 1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C). Grease an 8x8-inch baking pan with cooking spray or coconut oil.
  • 2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the almond flour, chocolate protein powder, unsweetened cocoa powder, coconut sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  • 3. In a separate mixing bowl, whisk together the melted coconut oil, unsweetened applesauce, eggs, and vanilla extract.
  • 4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until well combined. Fold in the dark chocolate chips.
  • 5. Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan and smooth it out into an even layer.
  • 6. Bake the brownies in the preheated oven for 20-22 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the brownies comes out clean.
  • 7. Remove the brownies from the oven and allow them to cool for 10-15 minutes before slicing and serving.
