Ingredients

  • 1 pound spaghetti
  • 0.5 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon dried basil
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon dried oregano
  • 0.25 teaspoon of black pepper
  • 1 can (6 ounces) tomato paste
  • 1 can (28 ounces) crushed tomatoes
  • 6 tablespoon Grated Parmesan cheese, for serving

Instructions

  • 1. Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions in a large pot of salted water until to the tooth.
  • 2. While the spaghetti is cooking, heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and cook, stirring occasionally, until browned and cooked through, about 8-10 minutes.
  • 3. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet with the ground beef, and cook until the onion is translucent and the garlic is fragrant, about 3-4 minutes.
  • 4. Add the crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, dried basil, dried oregano, salt, and pepper to the skillet. Stir well to combine, and let the sauce simmer over medium heat for about 10-15 minutes, until it thickens slightly.
  • 5. Drain the spaghetti and return it to the pot. Add the Bolognese sauce to the pot with the spaghetti, and toss to combine.
  • 6. Serve the spaghetti Bolognese hot, topped with grated Parmesan cheese. Enjoy!
